RatBurger

by David Walliams

The fifth screamingly funny novel from David Walliams, number one bestseller and fastest growing children’s author in the country. Hot on the heels of bestselling Gangsta Granny comes another hilarious, action-packed and touching novel – the story of a little girl called Zoe. Things are not looking good for Zoe. Her stepmother Sheila is so lazy she gets Zoe to pick her nose for her. The school bully Tina Trotts makes her life a misery – mainly by flobbing on her head. And now the evil Burt from Burt’s Burgers is after her pet rat! And guess what he wants to do with it? The clue is in the title…From the author that is being called ‘a new Roald Dahl’, Ratburger is not to be missed!

My Review: Generally, I thought all of Walliam’s Books were sopposed to be funny, however, I was wrong. This Book was both funny and emotional. But it had been Good, and only a 23% of Mystery.

An awe paragraphs…

1. Mum’ trudged back to the kitchen, no doubt
to rip open another family-sized bag of prawn
cocktail crisps to fill her face with. The little girl
was left alone in her tiny bedroom, cradling her
dead hamster.
But how had he died? Zoe knew that
Gingernut was very young, even in hamster
years.
Could this be a hamster murder? she
wondered.
But what kind of person would want to
murder a defenceless little hamster?
Well, before this story is over, you will know.
And you will also know that there are people
capable of doing much, much worse. The most
evil man in the world is lurking somewhere in
this very book. Read on, if you dare…
